Welcome to HallKart. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using our website, joining our waitlist or using any HallKart service.
1. About HallKart
HallKart is an online marketplace that helps hosts and event planners discover, compare, enquire about and book wedding halls, function halls, banquet halls, convention centres, lawns and similar event venues, and helps venue owners list their venues and manage availability, enquiries, quotes and bookings. HallKart is currently preparing for launch and onboarding a first group of venues through its partner waitlist.
2. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of this website, the waitlist and any HallKart services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. When the full platform launches, additional terms (such as listing, booking, payment and cancellation terms) may apply and will be shown to you before you accept them.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract under Indian law to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a venue, business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
4. The partner waitlist
- Joining the waitlist is free and does not create any obligation for you or for HallKart.
- Joining does not guarantee that your venue will be listed, featured or onboarded, or the timing of any launch. We may accept, defer or decline any waitlist request at our discretion.
- By joining, you agree that the HallKart team may contact you by email, phone or messaging services about your venue and HallKart.
- Any launch offers, features or pricing described on the site are indicative and may change.
5. Your information and accounts
You agree to give accurate, current and complete information and to keep it updated. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at hello@hallkart.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
6. Venue listings
If you list a venue on HallKart, you confirm and agree that:
- you own or are authorised to manage and offer the venue;
- all listing details — including photos, capacity, amenities, pricing, availability and policies — are accurate, up to date and not misleading;
- you hold, and will maintain, all licences, permissions, registrations and approvals required to operate the venue and host events (including fire safety, local authority and tax registrations);
- you will honour confirmed bookings and your stated pricing and cancellation policies; and
- you grant HallKart a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and promote the content you upload, for the purpose of operating and marketing the Services.
7. Enquiries and bookings
HallKart acts as an intermediary that connects hosts with venues. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the contract for a venue booking is between the host and the venue owner, and the venue owner is solely responsible for the venue, its services and the event experience.
Hosts are responsible for checking venue details, terms, capacity and suitability for their event before booking, and for complying with the venue's rules. Quotes, availability and pricing shown are provided by venues and may change until a booking is confirmed.
8. Payments, advances, cancellations and refunds
Where payments are made through HallKart, they will be processed by licensed third-party payment providers. Booking advances, balance payments, cancellations and refunds are governed by the cancellation and refund policy shown for each venue at the time of booking and by any payment terms presented to you. Any fees charged by HallKart will be disclosed before you pay. Prices may be subject to applicable taxes, including GST.
9. Reviews and user content
Reviews, ratings, messages and other content you submit must be honest, lawful and based on genuine experience. You must not post content that is false, defamatory, obscene, infringing, hateful or that violates anyone's privacy. We may moderate, refuse or remove any content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose;
- impersonate any person or business, or list a venue you are not authorised to offer;
- submit spam, fake enquiries or automated form submissions, or bypass our spam protection;
- scrape, copy or harvest data, listings or contact details from the Services;
- circumvent the platform to avoid fees on bookings first made through HallKart;
- interfere with, damage or gain unauthorised access to the Services or their systems; or
- upload viruses or malicious code.
11. Intellectual property
The HallKart name, logo, website design, text, graphics and software are owned by or licensed to HallKart and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or use them without our prior written permission, except to use the Services as intended.
12. Third-party services and links
The Services may include links to, or rely on, third-party websites and services (such as payment providers, maps or Google reCAPTCHA). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, services or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability or availability of the Services or of any listing, venue, quote or event. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any enquiry will result in a booking.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HallKart will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or from any venue, booking or event. HallKart is not responsible for the acts or omissions of venues, hosts or other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the fees, if any, paid by you to HallKart in the three months before the claim arose.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HallKart and its team from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your content or listings, your events, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Services, or remove any listing or content, at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law, or to protect users or HallKart. You may stop using the Services at any time and ask us to remove your details by writing to hello@hallkart.com.
17. Changes to the Services and these Terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, and update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
